The Museumsquartier is one of the scene meeting point of the city of Vienna and it is one of the ten largest cultural areas in the world.
In the area are 2 museums, one is the Leopold Museum and opposite is the new modern mumok - Museum of Modern Art.

The Hofburg was the residence of the Habsburgs in Vienna from the 13th century until 1918 (with interruptions). Since the end of 1946 it has been the official residence of the Austrian Federal President. 

It houses most of the Austrian National Library as well as various museums.

The complex, which has grown over the course of about seven centuries, covers an area of about 24 hectares and is the largest complex of buildings in Europe constructed for non-religious purposes.

The complex also includes two sacred buildings: the Hofburg Chapel and the Augustinian Church.

The Albertina is a "must do" for art enthusiasts. Art collections from the last 130 years are exhibited there. Among others by Warhol, Picasso or Dürer.
